Pretentious stupid movie
I begun watching this 1940 Alfred hitchcock movie "Rebecca" based on a story by author Daphne DuMaurier, and the story is so pretentious and snob it's laughable; it's full of wealthy peoples stereotypes... The basis of the story is the serious woman who's the head of the servants staff who's trying to control everything in the house with an iron hand, and the rich owner played by Laurence Olivier doesn't see or care about anything who's happening and keep his mouth shut, he's not even part of the story... I was watching that and I just couldn't take that seriously, I stopped watching it after 45 minutes... I was watching that and I was having full of ideas to make a comedy version of this crap, laugh at the story and make fun of everyone involved in this... For example I imagined a scene where the very serious unpleasant head of servants who never smile enter the Master's Bedroom, and she surprise the rich wife of her boss the owner, the rich woman is lying on the bad having sex with some guy, and as it happen she always ask one of her fully-clothed woman servant to do all the moaning and screaming of pleasure sounds instead of her, she wouldn't lower herself to do that during sex so she's keeping her mouth shut and she have the same very serious face she always have when her servant do all the screaming for her... I don't know if that story is representative of author Daphne DuMaurier's work, I don't know what she was thinking when she wrote that... I put her on my list of donation ni case she's still living because she's apparently a well-known and respected author, as far as I'm concerned I don't know why...
