Judith Anderson and George Sanders

Judith Anderson really stole the show in this movie. Such a talented and underrated actress!

So George Sanders did some blackmailing in this movie. His blackmailing scene in All About Eve is the best blackmailing scene I've ever come across in any film. If you loved his work in this movie, then you might enjoy him in All About Eve, too.

I think that it was the combination of his voice and his spot-on facial expression. Terrific actor overall!

Did he really leave such a note? If so, that's quite tragic...

Funny how he planned to break up a marriage in this, and is disgusted when Eve attempts to do the same in that movie.

Very true. He also gave a great performance in The Picture of Dorian Gray, though he didn't do any blackmailing in that one.

Nobody steals shows. What a ridiculous expression. Anderson was very good.

How about "diverted the spotlight?"

Thanks for the tip. I do enjoy his characters and especially his voice and inflections. The low-rent a-hole who's sure he's better - and smarter - than everyone else. Sad how his life ended.

I was already very much enjoying Rebecca when George Sanders suddenly appeared. I had no idea he was in it, so it was a nice surprise. He's been a favorite of mine ever since I saw The Picture of Dorian Gray. I don't think he's ever topped that one (at least not in my eyes) but he's always so great.
