Aaaaw, Pinocchio is so adorable
He is so endearing and likable. Usually the child protagonists of Walt's first films were adorable and innocent, but I think Pinocchio is the most adorable of them.

Pinocchio is a reflection of his creator, Geppetto; cheery, spontaneous, and innocent, but totally ignorant from no real life experience. Geppetto made him out of love and kindness; at first a toy that would make a child smile, then an actual boy that would tender a heart.

It's kind of like the Michelangelo effect:
The artist sees the work of their hands not only as an act of creating but also as a means of revealing something they themselves already know beforehand. That's the beauty of viewing a painting or sculpting or any other craft; there's more than one perspective - the envisioned (what the artist conveys) and the finished (what everyone else sees). A story with layers is not only told but continues to unfold, much like an interwoven tapestry.

Definitely. Both the animation and the voice acting make him about the cutest Disney protagonist. You can't bear to see anything happen to the little guy.
PS A lot of book purists complain that the Pinocchio of the book was a jerkass so the one in the film should have been as well, but I think making him likeable actually increases the movie's suspense a hundredfold. In the book, I wanted the little brat to be firewood within the first few chapters.
In the original version of the book, Pinocchio was such a jackass that it ends with him being hanged in a tree. There was exactly zero chance that would make it into the cartoon, lol. Purists are stupid.
