Colourized version....
I think I've seen a colourized version of this classic. But only once. Did I imagine this? If not where can I get the colourized version?

shareI can’t otherwise vouch, but I did hunt a moment or two and discovered this, which may be what you’re looking for, at http://www.cinemajohnsdvds.com/apps/webstore/products/show/4426787
The only other film comes to mind is High Society a color remake from 1956 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049314/ It’s not exactly the same story though, as you’ll notice.
I'm not sure as I'd like a colorized version of The Philadelphia Story or not, but it might be okay. I can't help but envision Ted Turner opening a film can and puking Technicolor all over it.
The "Turnerized" films from years ago were pretty bad, for my nickel, anyway. However, to each his or her own as they say.
@dough65oh, thanks for your reply. Maybe I dreamt TPS in technicolor?! Yes, I've seen High Society and it pales compared to TPS for me other than the jazz song at the beginning of the movie with, I think, Dizzy Gillespie??
shareRight horn, wrong blower, raine. Louis Armstrong and the band were in High Society.
No, I think that a colourized version of The Philadelphia Story did exist and aired on television once. I have an extremely vague recollection of the first minute or so but that's all.
I'm not sure as this will be helpful but CST Entertainment Imaging Inc. are the folks responsible for a 1994 rendition in colour.
It's probably the same one for sale at the link above there.
