That furniture!
I was a boy in the 1940s. In one scene here, there is an image of a [living] room in which there is a wooden chair that is a duplicate of one in my home today. Cedric Gibbons was the famous production designer at MGM in the 1930s-1940s.
Production design or art direction was responsible for the physical layout and props appearing in movie sets. I'm sure that typical furniture used in films was also commercially available to the public at the time.
Stupid!?! I never called you stupid! To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!
