TCM squeezes Grapes

I have never seen this movie, so I taped it from TCM last week. The film, which is supposed to be 130 minutes long, was only 110 minutes long on TCM. It appeared a large portion of the film was deleted after Henry Fonda strikes out at the policeman under the bridge. How can they butcher a classic film like this?

Perhaps there is another edit. I recorded it just earlier tonight on TCM and the run time is 129 minutes. It is indefensible to edit such a classic!

[edit] The run time was indeed 110 minutes, although the PVR recorded until half ten making me think it was indeed the full version. I cannot imagine why it would be edited like this, perhaps to accommodate advertising? I'd think that since TCM doesn't have advertising during main features they would screen the original version. It's nothing short of cinematic assault to do this.

I just watched it on TCM and the run time was 2 hours and 11 minutes.
I am not exactly sure if you are saying it has been edited, or you discovered the first poster was incorrect.
If it was, am disappointed I missed any of it and have to say VERY disappointed becasue I though TCM prided itself on not altering movies for any reason.

@ jfd0210 I think we both saw an edited version. I'm going to check out the DVD at the library and see what was missing from the TCM airing.
