I think so.
I'd put Steel Magnolias in the same ballpark as The Women.

RKO's "Stage Door," 1937, runs a respectable second too. Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Ann Miller, Gail Patrick, Eve Arden and Lucille Ball. Not too shabby.

Truth is a hard master, and costly to serve, but it simplifies every problem.
I'd keep "The Women" at #1, and "Stage Door" at #2, followed in no order with "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", "Waiting to Exhale", "Sex in the City" and though I didn't enjoy it I would add "Steel Magnolias" for a strong cast. But if we can go to the small screen it's Designing Women at #2!
Forgot "The Joy Luck Club"! That's a grest female cast and solid movie.
shareYes! I agree with your top 3! The Women, because it is so great AND because there are no men in the entire movie! I adore Stage Door as well and Sisterhood is addicting! Sex and the City as well and Designing Women was always one of my faves!
