It would be odd if there were such a treatment to dye one’s eye color, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there were such a thing back then considering there were things such as radioactive makeup back in the old days that would sound impossible today.
shareI believe you are referring the the Radium Girls. They worked at a factory painting watch faces with radium for a glowing effect. They applied the radium to their faces as makeup, not knowing the dangers at the time.
