Great film, but I was disappointed with the image quality in the DVD I watched - very grainy and dirty. I watched the Warners DVD. Are there other DVD editions available (e.g. in John Wayne collections) that offer better image quality? I'd love to see this film given the respect it deserves.

You are right. A real shame : image and sound are horrible! I just can't believe they released this masterpiece without restoring it first.

I'm so excited ! I just got (yesterday) the 2 disc special edition of Stagecoach. Haven't watched it yet; be sure I'll keep in touch with you to tell you if it's worth it !

I'm so mad that the bonus materials aren't closed-captioned. We deaf people have the right to know what's going on in the bonus materials. It's b.s. that Warner Brothers didn't do squat!
