This film is hilarious!!!

Firstly the actor who plays Buck is the star of the show his broken voice sent me to tears of laughter e.g "All aboard" and "Now listen I'm the only one making sense over here" (Man interrupts him). Also I like the bit when the spanish guy was talking about "her getting tired I have to wip her" "What your wife No my horse... I can get a new wife anyday" This film is so funny and cheesy to watch. I love black and white films another being King Kong "Holy smokes"!! soo funny.

Anyone that can call a John Ford film "cheesy" has to be a complete knucklehead..

Andy Devine usually played humorous roles, but check him out in PETE KELLY'S BLUES. He plays a corrupt cop (a police chief maybe?) and is quite sinister.

I wouldn't call it cheesy, but i do agree that there's quite a lot of humor in this film. I think that's a big part of its appeal. I had never seen it until the other night, and at first i was going to turn it off, but it was the humorous bits that drew me in and shortly after that i found myself enjoying it quite a bit. It is a classic western, and there is a fine line between classic and cheesy, but this is certainly classic.
