Filming locations?
Does anyone know of the filming locations for Stagecoach?
shareMonument Valley. In fact, it's the first picture Ford shot there.
shareMonument Valley, AZ/UT, which is about 400 miles from Lordsburg, NM. The other towns mentioned are fictional I believe. I remember seeing some fake saguaro cactus along the route. There are none anywhere near Lordsburg nor in Monument Valley, the closest I know of are in Black Canyon City about 200 miles south of Monument Valley.

.. coach way stations for convenience are all located closer to LA, mentioned in passing here for instance:

Late to this thread but I did notice (fake) saguaro cactus in some scenes and thought it odd since I believe that cactus is mainly located in southern/southeastern Arizona such as around Tucson. Monument Valley is near the Northwestern New Mexico border and that area and NM are too high to support Saguaro. But hey most people think Saguaro is more widespread across the Southwest than it actually is, so it's become symbolic of the desert SW.

At the beginning of the stagecoach trip, prior to encountering Ringo, the large rock formation in the background is Agathla Peak, elevation 7,096 ft, located about 10 miles southwest of Monument Valley, AZ and 7 miles north of Kayenta, AZ (coordinates: 36°49′36″N 110°13′32″W).
Considered sacred by the Navajo indians, it is the most prominant geological feature off Route 163 approaching Monument Valley from the south.
