This world is so fucking stupid.

RIGHT?

Give it another generation or two, and it'll probably be illegal to own movies with white people in them.

reply

As I've said on here before, consider: The movie consists of four hours of the Confederacy getting its ass handed to it. GWTW is an easy target. But, why not, instead or also: "The Jazz Singer" (blackface), or any and all other movies with objectionable to highly objectionable racial or outright racist material?

reply

I suspect that they'll be on the list of movies to be burned like book burning.

reply

Removing this classic will definitely eradicate racism once and for all. All those racist cops will surely change their attitudes in response to this. Derek Chauvin obviously watched this film repeatedly.

Frankly HBO, I don't give a damn!

Apparently the problem with the movie is that

"Based on the novel by Margaret Mitchell, it features slave characters who seem contented with their lot and who remain loyal to their former owners after slavery's abolition."

and

"Writing in the Los Angeles Times this week, screenwriter John Ridley said the film "glorifies the antebellum south" and perpetuated "painful stereotypes of people of colour".
"The movie had the very best talents in Hollywood at that time working together to sentimentalise a history that never was," continued the Oscar-winning screenwriter of 12 Years A Slave.

Yes, because we live in an enlightened era where we know it's impossible for a white family to be benevolent to it's slaves. They can't. It's in white folk's DNA to abuse black folks. 100% of white slave owners physically abused their slaves because white folks just can't help themselves, and GWTW didn't show this.

We also were falsely taught that over a million former slaves died of starvation and disease after the Civil War and that many slaves decided to stay on with the plantation to work in exchange for food and a place to live.

All lies. Bravo HBO! (what is HBO? Honkys Berating Oreos?)

I would like to know where this gentleman obtained a time machine, because he would obviously require one so that he could make this statement and be positive that it is 100% valid. Maybe he can loan it to me so I can win the lottery.

When you're done, go back to the mid 60s and see if you can convince Ford to use galvanized sheet metal on the floors and frame rails of the first generation Mustang. Thanks.

You got it!

reply

Overzealous decision. They'll quietly put it back when all this dies down.

reply

Just wait until we get the new socialist movement and they start burning books and history to form a new stupid world !

reply

That happened last week in Virginia and probably other places.

reply

I know historic statues are being vandalized and thrown in rivers. Did they burn any books ?

reply

I can't find documentation now, but I am sure I read a museum was vandalized where books and manuscripts were burned. But without documentation from a legitimate source I can't support my claim.

reply

Just wait til they watch Demolition Man and get ideas!
