Who played the pianist that was finally going to play but fainted? I recognize him as a character actor but can't place the name.

That was, of course, the great Franklin Pangborn, who added much to many movies of the '30s and '40s.

And of course, while the character he played may have also been a pianist, he was an organist in this movie.
