Leopard fight with dog
Did anyone else notice the strange marks on the side of the dog during the leopard fight? I can't tell if the dog was injured or not - anybody else know the story here?
Unable to find out for sure, suspect it was padding just in case of a mishap. The dog George was played by Asta and didn't retire from movies until 1939. Baby was played by Nissa a jaguar who played both Baby and the mean leopard from the circus. Good actress wasn't she?
shareFrom what I've read, Nissa WAS a leopard. The animal in the original book had been a jaguar.
Yes, she was a great actress and very beautiful. I think she did a much better job than Hepburn!

I hadn't realized that Asta was in any other movies other than the Thin Man series.
