Brontosaurus - not a 'real' dinosaur
Everyone probably knows this already, but there is no such thing as a brontosaurus. Early paleontologists only had a precious few skeletons to work with, and drew some erroneous conclusions about extinct species. The brontosaurus is actually an apatosaurus with the head of a camarasaurus. It wasn't until 1989 when the postal service was issuing some stamps that the uproar over the error came to a head.
