Everytime I see this movie I'm always distracted by that bizarre collar/veil thing that's hovering about her head.

shareMaybe she was channeling the spirit of weirdness that appears on various eccentric society ladies in pictures throughout history. Marie Antoinette and her retinue channeled it in spades, and there is a John Wayne picture (can't remember title) from not long after this one where a Pennsylvania mining magnate's daughter wears a spectacularly bizzare headgear. This spirit of weirdness was born in human form in 1986 as Stefani Germanotta.
