A minor goof: 'Smile...'

Just wondering if anyone caught that Robin, during the march to the coronation, used a knife to prod the Bishop to "smile". But Robin was walking behind the Bishop and couldn't possibly know if the Bishop was smiling or not. Had Robin said it once, it would have 'worked' but no, Robin corrected him more than once because he wasn't satisfied the Bishop was feigning 'happiness' convincingly.
No big deal, not looking to trash one of my all time favorites flicks - just wondering if anyone else caught this. As a kid, I used to watch it with my younger bro who was too young (4 yrs my Jr.) to understand the point I was making which frustrated the heck out of me.
I haven't brought it up with anyone again since but being that I'm on here reading anyhow, I figured I'd throw it out here and see if I was alone or not in my childhood frustration ("How come ..." / "Shhhh, hush up, we're trying to watch the movie !" LOL !!).

Maybe he just kind of knew that the Bishop needed reminding. He was probably letting the Bishop know that he could see his every move, even though he couldn't.

Other minor goof-Dickon's belief that he could kill Richard and get away with it alone. Even if he could have done the first-which I don't believe-surely Richard's companions would have taken care of him? And surely Dickon would have got to the inn before Much had time to head him off?

Dickon believed he could get away with it. Chances are he probably would not have, and even if he managed to evade Richard's men, he would not escape John. He would have probably removed Dickon because (A) it would remove any evidence of John's role, and (B) remove the danger of Dickon turning on John himself (if he could kill one king, why not another). I can't help noticing a tone of indifference in John's correction about Dickon's renewed rank ("Of course..."), as if he was trivializing his agent to the point of removal.
Wasn't Dickon at Marian's Trial? Enough time for Much to intercept him.
