This movie inspired me to write my own Robin Hood novel
Through the most unusual of circumstances, a man from contemporary times finds himself in Sherwood Forest where he meets Robin Hood, Maid Marian and Sir Guy of Gisbourne. Where my story departs from any previous Robin Hood tale is that Robin Hood looks like Errol Flynn, Maid Marian is a ringer for Olivia de Havilland, and Sir Guy resembles . . . you guessed it, Basil Rathbone!
But these are not actors making a movie; they are, indeed, Robin Hood, Maid Marian and Sir Guy of Gisbourne.
This is the story of Beyond the Flight of the Arrow: A Fantasy Adventure Concerning Robin Hood, Errol Flynn and One Finney Jackson.
I think anyone who loves The Adventures of Robin Hood as much as I do would enjoy this story as well, but go to Amazon.com and enter Beyond the Flight of the Arrow, and judge for yourself. You can read the first 30 pages for free.
If anyone reads the entire story, I would love to hear what you think!
