Best quality print?

I recently bought a DVD of this movie, a "remastered" edition released by Sony in 2008. As others have noted about other versions, the quality seems very uneven; some of the scenes are so grainy that is is very distracting. Also, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but I also thought that there had been a scene included where Deeds throws the opera snobs out of the reception at his house (not the earlier board meeting). These old movies are so commonly butchered that I'm inclined to think that the scene was cut. I'm considering buying "The Premiere Capra Collection" at Amazon just to see if it has a better print of "Deeds" but I thought I'd ask first ... if anyone out there has it, is it a better quality version? Or does someone have another version that is better? Should I try a VHS version? Thanks for any feedback!

No, you shouldn't try a VHS version. You should buy the new Sony Blu-ray disc which presents the restored version.

And no, there was no scene where Deeds physically throws the snobs out of his house. One only hears of it when he tells "Mary Dawson"'s sister of it in the awkward minute where he goes to her house to take her out for a late nightwalk.
