Lorre's voice as Rollo

Does anyone know if that was actually Lorre doing the voice of Rollo when he's in disguise? It certainly didn't sound anything like him...or Rollo for that matter!

I dunno. It sounds to me a lot like the voice of "The Killer" in Argento's movies like Bird With The Crystal Plummage and Tenebrae.

What's the Spanish for drunken bum?

Watching this film led me to think that Lorre had a surprisingly versatile voice. Even in character as Gogol, he goes into a laugh (when he comes home after convincing Orlac that he's Rollo) that sounds totally different from the standard cartoon Peter Lorre voice -- very rich and deep.
