You're probably right. The movie was made and released during the transition period but the truth is I think it could have been made after the Code went into effect too. While it's a very sexy scene, there was nothing blatant about it and the dialogue gave nothing away.
But I really like the fact that the sex was all innuendo and off-screen, unlike the slobbering bodies of post-Code films.
I'm not a fan of the blatancy we see in today's movies either. I think it's usually unnecessary and often, so much time is wasted on sex scenes, more important parts of the plot are neglected.
