That was freaking hilarious!!!!

You cad!, you dirty swine! I never cared for you not once! I was always makin' a fool of ya! Ya bored me stiff, I hated ya! It made me SICK when I had to let ya kiss me. I only did it because ya begged me, ya hounded me and drove me crazy! And after ya kissed me, I always used to wipe my mouth! WIPE MY MOUTH!

Oh God, when I need chearing up I listen to this!

My favorite scene in the whole film. It was the pinnacle of Mildred's true nature as a vile and shallow character. Also her reaction to Philp's comment was fantastic on Davies' part with her expressions.

"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not".

Let me tell you that I saw "Of Human Bondage" yesterday FOR THE FIRST TIME! It was even BETTER than I was expecting, and ranks inmediately among my Miss Davis TOP 5!!!

I'm still convinced that Davis reinvented screen acting for the sound era with that performance, especially the famous "Yew cad..." vilification - such an explosion of energy!

That is a great speech!!! One of my favorites in film history. She says it with such hate and explosion!!! She REALLY MEANS it! It's wonderful!!!

That monologue makes my life complete. It's easily the best thing about the movie, and I don't know how many times I rewound it when I saw it the first time. Amazing.

Paris is for lovers. Maybe that's why I stayed only 35 minutes.

I've seen the whole movie, but that was my favorite part! :) She should've won an Oscar for that scene. :)

Oscar robbed i think and i think her top 3 most evil are this, The Little Foxes and In This Our life. She played lots of villainous roles and some of them are sympathetic.

She great in that scene, but this is a very creaky film. I've seen movies from '32 that had smoother editing and less obvious throwbacks to the silents.

She improved a great deal as an actress, but that one scene is classic and will be forever remembered and associated with her.
