They should show this film to high school students

Although modern-day high school students would have a tendency to laugh at the acting styles in this minor classic from the 1930's, it would be a good history lesson for them if properly prepared and presented by a teacher, and could also serve as a cautionary tale of the results of economic collapse.

I agree with you completely rac701. This is especially so with recent economic events. I hope it doesn't come down to what it was in the 1930s though but one never knows. This is one that should be a must see and thank goodness we have a couple of chances to see it on TCM over the next few months.

Agree, this movie should be showed to high school students !
