I LOVE the part where someone is trying to get dick powell to dance and he says something like, "You could be a famous duo like the Astaires!" And Ginger is three feet away, how funny. Only six movies later would she be part of the greatest dancing duo's of all time!
shareGood point. I had to think about that line for a second when I heard it, because I knew that at the time this movie was made, Astaire and Rogers weren't the famous dance team, yet. It was only after I realized that Barney was referring to the dance team of Fred Astaire and Astaire's sister, Adele, that the line made sense to me. But yeah, it was a poignant moment in the film.
