How about that great wallpaper!!


In the scene where Joan Blondell shows Warren William the 'framed check' - i just LOVE the great art deco details of the wallpaper -- it reminds me of a ceramic bowl inspired by the Jazz Age -- here's a link:

I love re-watching these old movies, just for details in the set designs and costumes! I can just picture my great aunt watching movies back in the depression. She told me about the special promotions - they would give away dishes, it would probably take a year or two to finish your place-settings! I remember my mother saying movies were only a nickle, but you didn't always have a nickel!!

Thanks for pointing this out. I know there's an Art Deco clock in the hallway of a Claudette Colber movie -- can't remember the movie but can't forget the clock.

That clock is in "Trouble in Paradise" 1932 with Kay Francis -- I found it in one of my earlier posts. One year apart!
