Anyone familiar with the show Dark Shadows will recognize this movie as a story line from late in the series. It was during the last 9 months of the show, which occured in "Parallel Time". It had a madman living in a room that kept the residents of Collingwood in terror. The writers must have been influenced by this movie.
shareI just caught this movie again on TCM. I had forgotten just how cool a movie it was! You are right, the Dark Shadows story line cane from this movie. I knew somebody used that story line and I couldn't remember who it was. It was Dark Shadows! This movie gave me such a creepy feeling. I love the thunderstorm, the rain, the old creepy house....makes me want to take a road trip and get lost somewhere out in the country and come up on an old house....Scooby-Doo-like !!! Awesome movie !!!
