Zaroff
How exactly did he die ? He fell out the window, but was he shot first ? I can't remember.

sharebob put an arrow in his back and then when he tried to shoot an arrow as they were leaving the boat, he fell over.

He could have died any one of three ways...
Arrow
Fall
Eaten
That was awesome the way that he held the arrow through the guy, but on the other hand, it would appear as though he shot the man through the back. (Coward!)
Yes, I picked up on that implication as well. The final shot of the film, in which Bob and Eve sail off into the sunset as Count Zaroff (in the foreground) falls out of frame to his death, was absolutely stellar.

he was quickly bleeding to death from an arrow jammed into his back by rainsford. his is even too weak to get off a last arrow shot which probably would have missed anyway. so weak he collapses at the window and falls out. I think it was meant to imply the fall did not kill him instantly and he was eaten alive by his own hunting dogs, a bit of irony. BTW Leslie Banks stole the show in this one IMO.

Yes. I listened carefully at the end. Though the music swells, I heard the dogs excitedly barking after Zaroff fell.
In the short story when he faces Bob, he says something along the lines of "One of us will provide a repast for the dogs, the other will sleep in this fine bed."
