Romer's Car?

Does anyone know the make and model of the car in which Cary Grant's character rides around?

I can't be surew ho made that particular car, but the style is a dual cowl (dual windshield) Phaeton. There were different manufacturers for this style like Buick, Packard, Chrysler and many more. As rich as he was supposed to be, I wouldn't be surprised if it were a Cadillac, but I've seen the shape of the rear windshield on a Duesenberg so it could be that.

It seems incredibly dangerous the way the backseat passengers are locked up that quasi-hood, imagine getting in a wreck in one of those things, besides being seriously hurt, it could be hell to get the people out of it.

I was thinking the same thing, it looks like a death trap!

Yeah, I agree. It was certainly interesting looking with that metal lap cover thing. But it looked fragile too. With all those plate glass windshield pieces, someone would get decapitated in a crash for sure.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

it's probably a custom body from some maker like Fisher or LeBaron.

The car is a 1931 Lincoln Dual Cowl Phaeton. You can see a color photo of a restored one that sold at a Christies Auction in 1999 for $64,000 dollars. I'm sure the selling price today would be over 100k.
