So good
There seem to be abundance of people calling the film boring so I just wanted to lighten this board with some praise.
Saw this for the first time just now and what a great film. Other films made around 1932 usually have some stiff acting, indiscernible audio, lack of music and etc. But this film is just beatufil and filled with memorable characters. Especially Barrymore's Baron. Everyone is so full of life. (Turns out I never seen any of actors in this film in action before, so a bit of a surprise). What a excuisite cinematography and sets, the chess floor of hotel, looks great on Blu-Ray. And Tchaikovsky as soundtrack. This film is just full of class.
