"Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde '31" is one of my favorite films of all time. The special effects are truly stunning for its time. It looks a lot better than the CGI they've got now. Sadly, the film is going to be re-made this year. "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" its going to be called. Hopefully, it won't be a bummer.

I feel that an overdose of re-makes has really effected Jekyll and Hyde. Now I think they are characters that are just thought of as childish. How many times has J&H been transcribed into lame cartoony villians? Too many times to possibly fathom. Same case with the invisible man. The origianal books were so incredible and disturbing, but the image these characters have now is just laughable. I am usually against re-makes, but J&H could really do with a modern, up-to-date film that has perfect casting and is exactly like the book. Then, J&H would be respected more as a great novella.
