Interesting but highly unlikely that a Jewish family would serve "ham" to a non-Jewish guest. As a Greek American I was thrilled and not offended that the villian was a Greek. This may be the earliest representation of a Greek American on film. What countered the unpleasant representation was that it was the villian's relative that turns him in. Greek lettering also was used in the titles when the Greek characters spoke. Bravo!

shareAll I can say is 'yecchhh!'. The music was ridiculous, and horrible, and didn't seem to fit in with the plot-lines. It ruined the movie for me. It sounded more like elevator 'muzak'. I was actually, literally, sickened.
shareI am watching the film now, the music does sound out of place for a vintage film.
shareI think that was one of the earliest films to feature a multi ethnic cast, there were Black and Asian kids as well.
