I got lost on how Hutter's boss Knock became insane. Unless I missed something, it didn't really explain why all of a sudden he was locked up. He kept uttering "Master is here, master is here". Did Orolock possess him somehow? They never met
shareEarly on in the film Knock is seen reading a letter from Orlok that is written in strange runes and glyphs, so he was in contact with him. The implication is that somehow Orlok used the runes to assert his will over Knock's and enthrall him.

shareIt does look that way, doesn't it? The first time we see Knock, he is flipped-out, crazy and cackling while reading Orlok's "letter."
I wondered why his employees didn't notice that something weird was happening with him. Surely he wasn't cackling like that ALL the time, even before he was contacted by the vampire?
