How many musical scores are there?

I know (or have at least heard of) the original one by Hans Erdmann, By the French group Art Zoyd, by Type O Negative, and by Christian Death/Electric Hellfire Club.

Are there more soundtracks existing?

Hmm...it looks like i mentioned them all. I already mentioned the original version with soundtrack by Hans Erdmann, and among others i also mentioned a version made by Christian Death/Electric Hellfire Club. This version is also known under the name "industrial mix".

So i believe i got them all. Or...?

One of my own favourite musical artists called Nash the Slash has made a soundtrack which he used to play live while projecting the film. You can read some more about that - and listen to samples - here: http://www.nashtheslash.com/albums/nosferatu.shtml.

Then there's one by Peter Schirmann. This is the soundtrack that is used in most releases of the common public domain print, the one in black and white with all the names changed.

Off the top of my head, other soundtracks include an eclectic one by Silent Orchestra and a traditional organ score by Timothy Howard. Both can be found on the 2001 DVD from Image.

Also, the old Kino DVD, which is the one containing the Art Zoyd score, also contains a score by Donald Sosin.

There are probably other soundtracks available, but these are the ones I remember.

There is also a NOSFERATU score by James Bernard, the composer for many of Hammer Studio's horror films of the 1950s and '60s.

It's quite good -- and sounds exactly like the soundtrack to a Hammer Dracula pic. I kept expecting Christopher Lee to show up.
