Scariest Dracula

Actually one of the scariest characters ever seen on film. Agree?

reply

Yes absolutely. I remember seeing him in clips on the old 1970s supernatural documentary "In Search Of" hosted by Leonard Nimoy. I was about 5 years old and was horrified!

Also Mr. Barlow from Salem's Lot (79)

reply

Yes, It's very Obvious they used Nosferatu (Count Orlock) for Salem's Lot.

reply

Yes, particularly with the rat-like incisors which I find much more frightening than the traditional canines.

reply

Way creepier than Lugosi's Dracula.

reply

Lugosi was gentleman. Schreck was monster.

reply

Yes.

reply

Indeed. He's just pure evil, is what we immediatly think about when someone says "creepy"
He hasn't got a backstory, he hasn't reasons, he's just all the world's evilness personified, the most ancestral - and scary - type of evil.

I think the scariest vampire was in Dracula vs Frankenstein. He not only had an afro but had a very strange odd kind of voice. Plus he had a ring that shot lightning. He was such a bad ass, that George Lucas ripped this idea off with the emperor being able to shoot lightning from his fingers. This vampire also ripped apart piece by piece the Frankenstein monster. Never seen another vampire do that before
