Video settings

When watching the Netflix DVD of this, it may be necessary to change some default settings on your TV to get the best image.

IMDb says that the aspect ratio of the film is 1.33. Experiment with other ratio settings, since the right side of the image seems truncated on my Samsung TV with 1.33. Also, experiment with your brightness settings. As with so many very old films, image brightness increases and decreases rapidly so that many "dark scenes" can hardly be seen. That may be due to faulty filming exposures and the light insensitivity of early film stock.

Regardless of the above, this is really a classic film!

Good advice. ALWAYS make sure your TV is set to the right picture size or aspect ratio when watching films or even television.
