AVOID the KINO Blu-ray and 2013 DVD! Missing 11% of film!

Apparently for their Blu-ray and 2013 DVD, KINO deletes every 8th frame, thus losing an overall 11% of the film!

That's a true shame. I don't know why companies do this or even get away with it.

No one in their right mind would ride on a buggy driven by Klaus Kinski.

Agreed. This should have been passed around and corrected. It's unfortunate for Blu-ray owners. The only solution is to either stick with the 2007 DVD release, or get an all-region player and import the UK DVD(s).

Bumping this important information.

That's weird. The Blu-Ray version is sourced from the same restoration done for the 2007 DVD Kino release, and I don't recall that being a problem there.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to go check out what copy mine is. I never really considered the implications of buying a public domain movie on ebay when looking for the most affordable option.

Ya know, I've made extensive comparisons with the older DVDs from Image and Kino, as well as other Blu-rays available as rips on YouTube, and honestly I see absolutely no difference. Like, at all. The jumps in certain frames are the same in all versions I watch and motion-wise, they all look the exact same to me. I'm not getting it.
