shareI find them to be on the same level, more or less. Entertaining efforts in their own right, but they both benefit from being judged as standalone adventure films rather than versions of Zorro, whose definitive portrayal had yet to come (Guy Williams' incarnation of the character will always be untouchable).
shareI agree! The 1940 remake felt more like a Spanish Robin Hood than a Zorro film.
