According to an interview with Wolfgang "Billy" Bitzer,
the cinematographer, the film was entirely shot with
natural sunlight.
A feat pulled off due to the L.A. area being smog-free
at the time.
personally, I like the other title better, but I think it has something to do with the fact that most of the film wasn't shot in a studio as so many were.
