Tucker today, AOC tomorrow. Don't say the wrong thing.
shareWho is going to deplatform AOC?
shareThe institution. The minute she doesn't toe the line. The minute she gets a idea in her head that wasn't delivered to her.
shareThey all sound like they work for the people. But just about every politician is paid to perform, they can't win without money. Their job is take in what their funders want and spin it and sell it to voters.
The most successful politicians are the ones faked the best.
What I am saying is that AOC is just another very effective liar, and will always toe the line. Whatever integrity she has is much less than Tucker.
AOC is in fashion. This will change. It always does. The only thing that never changes is: Old white men with money.
shareExactly. This is what confuses me about leftists who champion censorship. Don't they know they're going to be shut up sooner or later as well?
shareCensorship happens everyday, but that is corporate censorship, basically editors censor journalists on behalf of owners, in the name of free speech, i.e., free to censor. That worked pretty well for centuries. Tucker Carlson I think is the latest example.
Then there is social media, it worked the same way, there are corporate "fact-checkers" censoring people. Again it worked pretty well. Even the president of united states could not escape corporate censorship.
But there is always someone spoils the party. Enters Elon Musk, an irresponsible billionaire promised free speech, no real censorship on twitter, the only censorship would be open source algorithm based. The entire establishment panicked, there was never real free speech, nobody knows what would happen if it were allowed.
Corporate censorship is the foundation of liberal democracy. So they tried to make sure he could not buy it, 26 billionaire funded NGOs wrote an open letter, there were corporate boycotts by pulling ads from twitter.
But that failed, so now I think they have to put on censorship regulations, all to make sure there is no free speech. If real free speech is allowed, liberal democracy might not survive. At least to the establishment that is something better not tried.
My entire life has actually been a perpetual awakening to how much the establishment is scared of a thinking population willing to work out its problems through open, unabridged, public debate.
shareI still have doubts about how many out there can really think independently, but we will never know if there is no real free speech.
shareWhatever it was, it was not de-platforming.
But I guess that is what politicians do, taking credits.
Quite the transformation from when she first entered Congress as “the inner-city kid who’d knocked off a longtime insider” and got cold water poured on her election by Nancy Pelosi and the Dem establishment. Now she is Nancy Pelosi with this call for outlawing a national news media company and essentially saying we should access news approved by government regulation.
shareAOC and other deranged lefties celebrate Tucker's firing.

Yes, they are all celebrating which is why I asked in another thread why do conservatives think that Tucker being fired is a "win".
shareConsidering how things are with Tucker Carlson now, I guess one could say it backfire since he is getting so many views on Twitter.
shareyes, he is more powerful than ever.
what they actually did was serve as a catalyst in helping him LAUNCH the new standard go-to for news. their plan totally backfired lmao.
like Mao with the sparrows.
Or maybe she counts it as a win because Fox is moving to the left specially now with Tucker out.
sharemaybe she is, but it's a totally moot point because fox is dead anyway.
dude here is the takeaway point (which you missed in my first comment) ......legacy news is going away, and SOON. that is the real narrative here. so in the end it won't matter what fox or any other TV corp news does, because they suck balls and will die with the depletion of their boomer viewing base. ITS ALREADY HAPPENING. IT HAS ALREADY *HAPPENED* ACTUALLY, AND THEY ARE NOW ON LIFE SUPPORT FIGHTING FOR TABLE SCRAPS among the boomer viewers still remaining.
five years from now, total TOTALLLLLLLLLLY different story.
ten years from now? nonexistent.
this coming change is similar to the exodus cordcutters made fleeing cable TV. in 2015 i read an article by a guy who said 'five years from now cable tv as an industry will not exist in the way we know it today" .....and that bore out perfectly. check the numbers. roku and internet TV killed cable (naturally, inevitably) and the same pattern will repeat with TV news (already happening/happened, as I said above) but people can only address info they are aware of, and someone who is not privy to this data can't understand it yet let alone opine or comment on it.
don't take my word for it, look it up yourself.
also, (bonus point) all this is in addition to the fact that corporate news sucks so bad and LIES constantly, which people are catching on to now, after the 2020-21 gaslighting era was finally exposed.
yep, they're toast. and i say good riddance, lol
She's right about deplatforming, Tucker Carlson isn't an example. He was fired because of the Deformation case and sexual harassment controversies.
