In honor of JD Vance and Usha Vance. YLS Class of 2013 stands against scapegoating and demagoguery drawn straight from the playbooks of fascism. With love and a prayer that JD Vance and Usha Chilukuri Vance find the moral strength to reverse the course of their lives.

That is very good of them. "With love and a prayer that JD Vance and Usha Chilukuri Vance find the moral strength to reverse the course of their lives." Wow, that's powerful.

Your hyperlink references one guy making a political statement with his $100 check to an otherwise apolitical United Way campaign to help Haitian migrants. Maybe “classmates” should not be pluralized. And the one guy is not exactly putting much of that Yale income on the line to backup his denunciation. Were there other Yale grads making those anti-Vance statements with their donations? If there’s more to it, I can’t tell because the New York Times article your hyperlink cites is behind a paywall.

Sometimes the articles can be seen, other times they cannot. It sucks.

A note written by Robert W. Cobbs, a lawyer in Washington, who graduated in the same Yale Law class as Senator JD Vance (R-OH), that was included alongside his $100 donation to fund Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, during Tuesday night’s vice-presidential debate. Peter Chen, also a member of the Yale Law Class of 2013, organized the donation. “It was emotionally moving for me, personally, to see all the different messages and to see all the ways that people still reflect those values,” Chen said. Altogether, the Yale Law Class of 2013 raised more than $10,000 for Springfield’s Haitian Community. Click here if you’re interested in donating to the Springfield Unity Fund.

How many cats can you get for $10k in Springfield?

reply

What did you buy them for?

reply

To fatten up the dogs.

So, the point is, they're idiots.

reply

It's fascism now to not want your cats and local ducks to be eaten. Hilarious.

reply

Why do you say that? Even JD Vance does not believe that Haitians are eating cats in Ohio. He said so. https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/jd-vance-make-up-pet-eating-story-haitian-rcna171326
