"You said you weren't going to fact check me"

Did this fruity chubby closeted homo eyeliner emo think he could just stand there and lie?

reply

Yes. It's no wonder he went on a diatribe against the very concept of expertise.

reply

No, he rightly called out the CBS moderators who thought they could stand there and lie. Even Chris Cuomo, not remotely either Republican or conservative, called out CBS for A) breaking their agreed-upon rules, and B) being wrong on their facts.

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/chris-cuomo-calls-out-cbs-for-cutting-off-vances-mic-during-fact-check-he-was-right-and-the-moderators-wouldnt-let-him-correct-it/

Presidential debate moderators, being mainstream media people, and thus overwhelmingly left/liberal, have a well-established history of weighing in to bail out the Democratic candidate, even when by doing so they are factually wrong. This goes back at least as far as the Obama-Romney debate when Candy Crowley "fact-checked" Mitt Romney in his response to something Obama said about the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi. Problem was that Romney was right, and Crowley was wrong, but she put her thumb on the scale for Obama the Democrat, and that's not what an objective debate moderator is supposed to do.

Vance was absolutely right to call out the CBS moderators. They had agreed not to do it, but they just couldn't stop themselves. They just had to weigh in on the side of the Democrat.

reply

so Vance should just lie on stage and nobody should call him out on it?

reply

The person he's debating should call him out on it, if they're able to. That's the point of having a debate. Understand?

reply

Journalistic integrity, it's important.

reply

Yeah, and Margaret Brennan showed everyone she doesn't have any. Per the Associated Press, "CBS said the onus will be on Vance and Walz to point out misstatements by the other..." CBS promised not to put a thumb on the scales the way Candy Crowley did against Romney in 2012, while being wrong on her facts while Romney was right, and only admitting her screwup in a little-seen post-debate panel.

But Brennan just couldn't restrain her impulse to put in that thumb. And like Crowley, she was wrong. She tried to "correct" Vance that the Haitians in Springfield, OH are not illegal. That's only technically true because Biden-Harris grant "temporary protected status" to every illegal alien who claims political asylum, while their asylum case is being adjudicated. And the reality is, once they are here, hardly any of them are ever deported. It becomes a one-way ratchet. We all know the Haitians in Springfield are economic migrants, not genuine asylum seekers, and this is cynical exploitation of a legal loophole.

This looks terrible for CBS: the moderators broke their word, in a clearly partisan manner, hit Vance with a broadside he had been specifically told he would not have to defend himself against, and then, even as he was defending it politely, skillfully, and accurately, they cut him off. Thus, the CBS debate moderators, all at once, betrayed dishonesty, partisanship, cowardice, and weakness.

Ethically, they're lookin' kinda shaky.

reply

She wasn't wrong! The Haitians in Springfield are NOT illegals. Yet you try to weasel your way into saying they are. Do you know the difference between the truth and a lie?!

The TRUTH isn't partisan!

reply

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The Biden-Harris administration wouldn't recognize truth if it walked up the Joe and Kamala and smacked each of them upside the head with a wet mackerel. The media are no better. They have lied, twisted, spun, and misrepresented in order to swing the last election toward Biden, and they've covered for that senile, incompetent old disgrace right up until the debate made his decline impossible to conceal from people any longer. Don't talk to me about truth. All politicians lie, but the Democrats are worse than usual, and the media has abandoned any pretense of journalistic ethics and objectivity in order to become propagandists for the Democrat party.

reply

You've offered ZERO evidence. What a surprise!

reply

Okay, you want evidence? Biden's history of serial fabulation is self evident, and so his Harris', but there's more. In 2020, the mainstream media blocked dissemination of the Hunter Biden laptop story and repeated the claim that it was all Russian disinformation, all to get Joe Biden elected. And the 51 former intelligence officials lied about it being Russian disinformation; they knew it wasn't.

https://intelligence.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=1432

The FBI knew it wasn't.

https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/testimony-reveals-fbi-employees-who-warned-social-media-companies-about-hack

And the media is totally in the tank for the Democrats. You have Joe Scarborough, claiming he has spent a good amount of time in Biden's company, declaring “He’s far beyond cogent. In fact, he’s better than he’s ever been intellectually, analytically." He wasn't. And Scarborough knew he wasn't. Anyone who spent time around Biden knew. As I said, the government, the media, celebrities and wealthy donors, they knew. George Clooney said he spent time at a fundraiser a month before the debate, and saw it -- but he said nothing until after the Democrat party jettisoned Biden following the debate. They all lied to fasten a man they knew to be incompetent on the country for another 4 years; they only gave up the attempt when they couldn't hide his decline anymore.

And now you have the NY Times, partnering with Media Matters for America, a far left activist organization, to pressure YouTube, where 25% of Americans get much of their news, to declare conservative channels purveyors of "misinformation" and pressure YouTube to demonetize and penalize them one week before the election.

There are mountains of evidence out there, but this board has a limit on the size of posts.

reply

But if you want more, here you go. I feel this is a timely addition.

In response to a freakin' joke (and it was obviously a joke, made by a stand up comic who specializes in roast-style comedy, even John Stewart recognized it as such), here is what Biden had to say about Trump and his supporters: "The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters."

Biden called Trump's supporters garbage. It's just like Hillary's "deplorables" moment, when they reveal what they really think about the little people who dare to disagree with them.

But here's what CNN said Biden said. "'Only garbage' I see are Trump supporters demonizing Latinos."

CNN took it upon itself to edit Biden's remark into something other than what he actually said, to make it look less arrogant and elitist.

They've been doing this crap to help Democrats out for decades. They spin, edit, distort, misrepresent, omit key context, and outright lie in order to tip the scales in favor of the Democrat party. This is why trust in the mainstream media is at its all-time low.

https://news.gallup.com/poll/651977/americans-trust-media-remains-trend-low.aspx

"Journalists" have now pretty much abandoned even the pretense of being objective and unbiased, and people no longer trust them because they recognize that "journalists" are nothing of the kind anymore; they are leftist activists masquerading as reporters.

reply

Rules were no fact checking.

But Walz lied a few times too, did the moderator correct him? No...

Of course, they're politicians, they're going to make some inaccurate statements occasionally. But the most honest and true statement of the night was when Walz called himself a knucklehead.

reply

The moderator fact checked Walz on saying he was at Tiananmen Square.

reply

No they didn't, they asked him a question and Tampon Tim gave such an idiotic, incoherent answer that he was forced to admit that he lied.

reply

It was just a question not a fact check... Walz likes to make himself seem bigger and more important than what he actually is. For example, he keeps repeating that he's a retired "Command Sargent Major" when he's not.

He also claims he was in Tiananmen Square during the protests when he wasn't.

He says he's a football coach, he never says he was an "assistant coach".

There's a few other comments he's made that don't quite add up. He's a goofball but in Walz' defense, he is a wartime veteran and deserves some credit for that. And I suppose Minnesota is not too bad, economically speaking.

reply

She forced him to admit to a lie, publicly. Are you saying that didn't hurt Walz in any way? Why would they do that if the moderators were so Leftist?

reply

Except he wasn't lying, and the rules were no "fact checking". The moderators broke the rules and when they did that it was fair game for Vance to "fact check" the "fact checkers" and he utterly humiliated them.

reply

are you defending his right to lie.....

reply

I’ve yet to see any evidence that he lied, and secondly I am holding the moderators accountable for the rules they agreed to pre-debate.

Are you defending the moderators and Tampon Tim’s “right to lie”?

reply

The irony is that you even seem to acknowledge that was a huge blow on the moderators. JD won playing their own game

reply

me? i did no such thing, i dont care about mods, and im not voting for the israeli 2024 elections. i dont have a dog in this fight and neither do most americans. i just thought it was funny that he was caught lying and this was his response.

reply

There you go

reply

" he was caught lying "

What was the lie?

reply

haitians have legal status

reply

Well, he's focused on the future after all . . .

reply

I thought you guys were the ones promoting "fruitys" and "homos." Why the hate?

reply

He was right, and their "fact check" was wrong. They also broke their own rule.

reply
