Well, he dropped out some time ago. Pam Bondi, Florida AG, will replace Gaetz, and since Gaetz resigned from Congress, hoping that would end the investigation into his corruption -- but it didn't, and it turns out all the rumors were true -- I don't know what kind of future the drugged up perv will have. He says those things are all behind him, but he also said the rumors weren't true.

The House Ethics Committee found "substantial evidence" former Rep. Matt Gaetz engaged in "prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use" and obstruction of Congress in a long-awaited report on alleged misconduct by President-elect Donald Trump’s original choice for the next U.S. attorney general, according to a report released Monday.

Gaetz made a last-minute futile effort in federal court to prevent the release of the committee's report into allegations that have dogged the Florida Republican for years. He has strenuously denied paying for sex with a minor, and a years-long Justice Department investigation ended without the filing of criminal charges.

“The record overwhelmingly suggests that Representative Gaetz had sex with multiple women" at a 2017 Florida party, "including the then-17-year-old, for which they were paid," the report said.

It's a smear campaign.

He had already been cleared of wrongdoing by Biden's DOJ (if there was any wrongdoing, he would be rotting in jail).

They deliberately revived this because Trump picked him for his Administration; not a coincidence. It's another political hit job.

Why resign if there was no substance to it? They nailed the creepy perv dead to rights. He even admitted it, but said those days were long behind him. But he also said that all the rumors about him weren't true.

Florida AG Bondi has replaced him in Trump's line-up. Trump should have paid attention to Gaetz's reputation in Congress. It wasn't good.

His resignation was a strategic decision for another position later down the road. Remember "the secret" that Trump mentioned between him and Matt? That decision was part of it.

Trump already knew that those allegations against Matt were as false as the ones against him.

Not always, but sometimes Trump will choose someone to be put in the spotlight for one of two reasons; to give them a second chance to do good, or to let them hang themselves.

Oh c'mon, he claims they were girlfriends he gave money to as gifts. They say there was sex involved. It's rather obvious this guy was partying with hookers. And by itself, oh well, I'm sure over half the men in Washington have done that. The problem is that he can't be the chief legal officer of the U.S. with such serious allegations against him.
