Dude looks 30

LOL, he doesn't look anywhere near 30.

Uh, yeah he does. Deep lines, circles under eyes, textured skin.

Being skinny isn't the only factor to looking young.

Kid doesn't look at all 30. Also I know plenty of teenagers that have dark circles. Come'on man.

He most definitely looks 30. Most teenagers DON'T have the aforementioned characteristics of aging.

Even the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 looked more like teenagers than this guy!

He is supposed to look that way. Is called context. They have made him look that way to show that his life has been a difficult and challenging one. His family is poor. His parents divorced. His brother has disappeared. Also, I grew up in a very wealthy family and I had dark circles under my eyes beginning in my last teens through my mid twenties. But this character is supposed to look that way to show premature aging caused by stress. Winona Ryder isn't sixty but they make her look very old to tell the story and paint a picture...

Alas, I don't by your supposition. I call it poor casting. They should have selected someone more age appropriate.

Regardless of what you "think" the purpose was in casting him, the fact remains that the guy looks 30 years old.

Fair enough. But it's Hollywood and they can make someone 50 look like there 25 and vice versa. So if you're right, its more than just bad casting but bad execution by the make up department. I've seen this kid in other things and he doesn't look NEARLY as aged...
Who knows, we could both be wrong. Only the people who ruin this show know for sure...
