What was his crime?

They now jailed him for 3 years.

Honesty?

reply

His crime was to speak the truth against Putin. ☻
In the last trial for alleged extremism, Navalny was sentenced to now a total of 19 years in a labor camp. They failed to poison him, but apparently Putin prepares for the presidential election.
Navalny had been missing since the beginning of December.
Now his friends found him.

Alexei Navalny located in Siberia prison
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has resurfaced in a penal colony in northern Russia after weeks of being missing, his allies said. Navalny's lawyer was granted access to the politician.

Merry Christmas! 🎄🐻‍❄️❄️

reply

While I appreciate where you are coming from and you are entitled to your opinion, but in my opinion, the whole 19 years thing, the "crime" being speaking negatively against Putin and Putin himself trying to poison him like that reeks more of conspiracy theories than actual truth.

reply

Oh, please! 🙄...read more news.
And coming up with THAT reek, please answer your OP question yourself.
What was Navalny's crime?
You don't have to list what he was convicted of, that's known.
Tell us what Navalny actually did.

Your answer is eagerly awaited. 🪆

reply

TheMan18 is a Russki. His opinion has merit.

Everyone also seems to forget that Navatny was a right wing Russian nationalist. Just sayin'.

reply

Thanks for your insightful hints. ☻
Alex (TheMan18) is partly a "Russki" and lives in the UK.
And Alex wasn't able to answer my question within 2 months.

You didn't answer the question either...just saying.
What was Navalny's crime?

reply

Russia is almost as corrupt as Ukraine. I expect nothing from those people and want nothing to do with their intrigue and their wars.

Navalny was obviously a political prisoner. And his death is being used in the U.S. to justify more billions for Ukraine.

Irony is that if Navalny had led Russia, Ukraine would have been overrun by Russia and the U.S.would have done nothing to help Kyiv.

reply

"Irony is that if Navalny had led Russia, Ukraine would have been overrun by Russia"

Navalny changed his opinion about the Russian invasion of Ukraine in recent years.
Navalny accepted Ukraine's sovereignty.

The rest is your usual Lala about all governments being the same evil.
And that you are a poor, plundered and peaceful American citizen. 🥱
You completely forgot the question about your lament.
What was Navalny's crime?

reply

Irrelevant.

Huh? Poor? Americans rule the world.

I'm a nationalist. I would have preferred Navalny.

reply

I'm not motivated to discuss your American megalomania.
Therefore just the friendly hint:
'Patriot' sounds better than "nationalist". 🥸

reply

Patriots tend to be blind jingoists. I'm fully aware of my country's flaws.

reply

And now you'll explain the difference between a 'patriot' and a "nationalist".

Try to avoid Godwin's law. ☺

reply

I already explained the difference.

reply

Where?...in what thread?

reply

Whatever!

But bottom line, it is you Europeans who fear Russia so much that you're buying into every lie the U.S. State Department tries to sell.

You're the ones trying to extend NATO to the Urals.

I love my country but I don't like its empire or its European lackeys.

reply

With your next Lala you just try to distract from the fact that you cannot answer both questions.

What was Navalny's crime?
What's the difference between a 'patriot' and a "nationalist"?

reply

Address my point and I'll spell it out for you.

reply

There's no "point" in your small world view.
And this thread isn't about you.

reply

Still reeking?

reply

I'd say it really does say a lot about the fear of the elite class - in this case, Putin. Though I'm not sure what he's afraid of, given Navalny's poll numbers. Perhaps he used this dude as an example for others?

We have similar example in Ukraine - Gonzalo Lira - now dead at the behest of Z.

In the US - Jan 6 protesters jailed for eternity.

All of these examples say more about the insecurity of the elite class.

reply

>We have similar example in Ukraine - Gonzalo Lira - now dead at the behest of Z.

Gonzalo Lira decided to pump out pro-Russian propaganda and record Ukrainian troop movements in Ukraine after they were invaded. He was also arrested, and then released again, and he kept on doing it.

Dude was a serious moron. What would you expect Ukraine to do?

reply

He was a CIA paid operative.

reply

Even if he was, so what? Are you that much of a fan of "Puto"?

reply

Yes

reply

And that, my friend, is all that we need to know about you.

"Puto" can rot in hell, along with all of his admirers.

reply

Might not have to wait that long. Dude looks like shit.

reply

Putin is a great man! Alexei Navalny dirty AF. Not pro Russia.

reply

"Not pro Russia." hahahaha

reply

He was, as they used to call them in Russia, a "Westernizer". Though he had nationalist political origins and was not particularly liberal in the Western sense of the term, but as liberal as politician can be in Russia.

But his major crime was being an alternative to Putin.

reply

Opposing Putin's corruption and running against him during an election. Charges are trumped up by Putin-controlled judiciary.

Dictators imprison and kill opposition.

reply

Like Joe Biden with Trump, is that what you are saying ?
