Wonderful job in Edge of Seventeen

Her character, was written as rather bland (probably on purpose) but she did a wonderful job delivering a few key lines.

"I forgot to tell you, he works at Petland now", could be such a boring line because the audience doesn't care, but she looks like she's announcing that she won the lottery.

Then the parts where Darian says, "Now clean up all this dog *beep* and "It was all me," she has mere seconds to suggest to the audience that she really feels strongly for this character, with minimal dialogue. She is so good at suggesting this suppressed, but very strong delight.

Her little preen when she announces to Nadine that Darian asked her to prom is unforgettable too. You could see a mixture of anger and pride at once.

Finally, I don't know if it was the acting, or the clothes, but she looks so GUILTY sitting in Darian's car in the scene where he is arguing with Nadine, when she says, "I don't want to get in the car with you and her."

Overall, did a great job with a supporting role.
