I've only seen her in the Scream movies but I thought she was fine for what was needed there. I agree she sure is beautiful.

Agreed. Her acting is as good as most slasher actors/actresses so I don't understand the criticisms. She'll not be winning academy awards or starring in arthouse dramas but she's a capable actress.

Do check out Abigail (2024) at some point. It's from the directors of Scream V & VI and Melissa Barrera was good in it. It's the best horror movie of 2024 thus far and is on the same level as those Scream movies, albeit it's a different type of movie.

I will say, Abigail is the best I've seen from MB. And I enjoyed the film (Heck I even enjoyed Scream 5 & 6 to some degree, got them on Blu Ray as soon as they came out). But it didn't really change my opinion on her acting. She's still fairly bland and struggles with her delivery and emoting. She seems like a nice person, so this is purely about her acting for me.

Yep. Wooden and cold. I never connect with her character.

And her "fan base" are just pro-palestine woke people who run around internet and defend her because of what she was fired. But they don't care about her as an actress and don't go to her movies. It's all fake.

Camila Cabello supposedly has 65 MILLIONS imsta followers. And then her new album flops with selling only 30 THOUSANDS. Despite people on Twitter pages praising her. But it's all fake. None of them went to support her with money.

Same with Barrera.

Most people online seemed to be in agreement that her acting in Scream (2022) was awful, except for the small group of hardcore MB fans who all seemed to love Vida/In the Heights. But then she got fired and since then her fanbase has been singing her praises like she is Meryl Streep or something. Sadly, some of the mods on the Scream Reddit are diehard MB fans, so I got banned from there for simply saying she wasn't a very good actress. Not that that matters at all really, just ridiculous to me.
