Bad casting

I don't think she is right for the role of Cinderella. She's to average looking to play her. Cinderella is suppose to be stunning. The step sisters look better than her.

Lily James is nothing short of gorgeous. Beauty is subjective and everyone is entitled to their opinion and I can understand how one can make the argument that she's not "stunning enough" for Cinderella (though I disagree). However, how on Earth can one claim she is "to(sic) average looking". That is just nonsense.

reply

Not nonsense. She's quite average, and it's only more apparent when she dresses for the ball and ought to be traffic-stopping, but she isn't, nowhere near.

The "ugly stepsisters" are cuter.

reply

Beauty is subjective to the eye of the beholder.

We write the story...

I disagree if you are arguing that she is of "average beauty" compared to most women in the world. Compared to other Hollywood actresses? That can be argued. Not beautiful enough for Cinderella?. That can be argued. However, "average looking" compared to most women? Like I said...I disagree. Regardless, it's all subjective.

reply

I agree with YOU, She is absolutely gorgeous and she plays 'adorable' well.

reply

Thank you. However, according to some people we are both "idiots" because we feel that she is beautiful and beauty is a mathematical formula that can be proven.

I always find comical the need for one to present their subjective opinion as fact or the need to insult others for their personal preferences (what movies they like, who they find attractive, etc.) It's clearly insecurity.

reply

I think Lily James is an excellent choice for the role.

reply

It is, which is why it's not "nonsense."
