Will Disney Fire Her?

Probably they will after BP2 sadly
shareI've heard that "Wakanda Forever" has halted filming.
Marvel stumbled in 2021, with "Eternals", "Black Widow", and "Shang Chi" underperforming, if they need some time to rethink the whole theatrical release schedule then they need to rethink. And "WF" was a risky project with the get-go, with their leading actor gone too soon, and Wright having made herself unpopular. It's possible that the film will not be finished, and it's also possible that if it's released and disappoints at the box office... Wright's career will be over. If an actor is the one blamed for a high-profile flop, they're toast in Hollywood.
Hard to believe they'd contemplate cancelling Wakanda Forever. Apart from the fact the first one made so much money there would also be the 'political' impact and fall out, plus I'm guessing they've already spent a great deal of money.
shareWell, the whole movie business is in flux right now, and while Marvel has put some absolutely marvelous stuff on Disney+, they're not making the kind of bulletproof guaranteed profits they did before the damn pandemic changed the economics of the film industry.
Who knows what they'll do with this doubtful project, put it on hold forever and never officially call it "cancelled", cut the budget, take a bigger risk, who knows.
All true - except perhaps Spider Man seems to have reversed the trend, the next two films are already in post-production and they'll probably need Wakanda Forever just to keep the juggernaut that is the MCU moving. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.
