African-American is an appropriate term to refer to the descendants of African slaves. We usually don't know their tribal heritage. It's like Italian-American. Italy's not in the Western Hemisphere.

She's more a model than an actress. Models have never been chosen based on "beauty" like an actress might be. For one thing, a female model must be at least 5'9", taller than an average woman. Models are chosen because they stand out as unusual.
