Cast a white actress in a biopic of Maya Angelou
Let's see how the self-righteous commies react to that.

shareI'll try to explain to you why that is not a good reverse-analogy, but I since you even made that comment I'm skeptical you'll be able to hear it or have much inclination to think about it.
There is a social and political and artistic statement in casting a black actress in a white role that has a coherent and human positive meaning.
When you try to reverse that as you suggest, casting the stereotypical oppressor in the role of the stereotypical oppressed it doesn't have the same meaning, it is like the difference between punching-up and punching down, to use the popular phrase these days.
Now, are you really going to tell me that you are as hurt or offended by a black women playing a white role as a black person would be to see Maya Angelou being played but a white woman? If so I'd say you were either lying or a complete psychopath unfit for American society or any other society.
They would react with riots and looting and violence. The same as they react whenever they feel disgruntled, which is all the time. By the way, Maya Angelou is the greatest poet in world history. I haven't actually read any of her poetry. But she is the greatest ever. Michelle and Barack Obama read her poetry every day.
